  3. Matters Carried Over from Last Meeting
    a)  Grass cutting contract – Contract has been awarded to Brian Douthwaite.
    It was Resolved that PS should remain the contractor’s PC contact.

    It was agreed that discussion of the beckside grass cutting objectives should be part of the next Meeting’s agenda.    
    b)  Community Speed Watch – PD hopes to have it up and running by the summer holiday season.  
    c)  Streetlights Maintenance – Routine bi-annual service completed on 24 April. Lamppost painting awaiting availability of paint.
    d)  HGV Traffic Clerk has responded to the Consultation by reiterating earlier comments and asking if the exercise is achieving its objective.
    e) Winter road gritting – It was agreed that we do not need an arrangement with Highways to replenish a second bin on New Road Hill 
    f)  Cockgarth footbridge – PM will discuss with his NYCC contact, Andrew Hall, the PC’s contention that the footbridge is part of a PROW.
    g) Tanker damage at Town Street/Scarlet Balk Lane junction – Morrison have reseeded grass verge damage and will eventually replace the concrete water system markers.

b) Replace garage at Woodside Cottage, Beverley Road – 19/00069/FUL: Approved
c) Solar Panels at Brook Farm Barn – 19/00264/LBC (Listed Building Consent): Application amended to reduce number of panels from 8 to 5

8. AOB
a) It was agreed to add the subject of dog poo to the agenda for the next meeting
b) The question, whether or not to seek RDC’s advice regarding planning permission for the recent construction, within the Settrington Conservation Area, of an external chimney flue on the new Chapel Road cottage, will be added to the agenda for the next meeting
c) AM reported on his communication with MP, Kevin Hollinrake, regarding broadband
d) It was agreed to add to the agenda for the next meeting the subject of the apparent inconsistency of application of Listed Building/Conservation Area regulations regarding broadband providers’ dishes
