The Chairman agreed to these minutes being signed digitally.
  3. Outcome of Meeting
    a) To review the situation regarding the siting of the Vehicle Activated Sign (VAS) pole on Forkers Lane, and to agree the way forward:
After lengthy and detailed discussion, it was unanimously RESOLVED that a VAS was not required in that vicinity, and that Clerk should request NYCC to remove the pole.
It was further agreed to add to the agenda for the next PC meeting
    – discussion of whether or not to use an existing pole on Back Lane for a VAS, and/or possibly a similar pole on Town Street and
    – discussion of speeding in the Cock Garth vicinity and road safety issues concerning playing children
Mr & Mrs Stephenson asked if they, and other Cock Garth residents, could be informed of the outcome of these discussions, and consulted as appropriate.

Regarding the following agenda items, Clerk advised that he had made RDC Planning aware of the apparent confusion in their communication, i.e. two planning letters for one application, and the same reference number used for each of the three letters, but, that other than acknowledgement, he had had no response.

    b) To review Planning Application 20/01117/HOUSE: Erection of a single storey side extension at Century House, Chapel Road, and to make any observations to Ryedale District Council – With one abstention, after discussion, the meeting RESOLVED that it considered that the sliding glass doors should have Georgian-style small glass panes in keeping with the village’s, particularly beckside, vernacular style, and to advise Ryedale District Council accordingly.
[AM wished it to be noted that he had previously had a professional, engineering design involvement regarding this property with the applicant, and that such an involvement might be repeated in connection with this application.]

    c) To review NOTICE TO FELL TREES IN A CONSERVATION AREA, Application 20/01117/HOUSE, at Century House, Chapel Road – After discussion, the meeting RESOLVED that it had no objection, except to recommend that the applicant be required to plant a replacement tree within the property’s curtilage, and to advise Ryedale District Council accordingly.
    d) To review Planning Application 20/01117/HOUSE: Erection of a single storey side extension at Century House, Chapel Road, and to make any observations to Ryedale District Council
The meeting assumed that this application was an erroneous duplication of b) above.

There being no further business, the meeting closed at 7.40 p.m.
